Police investigate body found near Naval Air Station Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered in a wooded area near Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi.

At around 6 p.m. Monday, police responded to a call from an unresponsive man near the 900 block of NAS Drive, according to a news release. Police found a dead man in the wooded area.

The identity of the man has not been revealed. His body was taken to the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death. It is not yet clear whether foul play is suspected.

The owner, along with directed patrol officers, identification technicians, code enforcement and city development worked to determine how best to clean up the property on Tuesday.

According to the police, a body was removed from the scene.
