Shivada Jade is one of the elemental stones of Genshin Impact, specifically the one used to mount Cryo characters. As part of their ascension, Cryo Vision wielders will need Slivers, Fragments, Chunks, or Gemstones, depending on their level.
Like all other elemental gems, Shivada Jade can be found in various ways. Most of them will come from boss rewards, but there are other sources as well. Let’s take a look at all the ways to find Shivada Jade in Genshin Impactas well as who will use it.
What characters use Shivada Jade
Any character that has a Cryo Vision needs Shivada Jade. At each level of ascension, this gem is required in different formats, as follows:
|Climb level||character level||Gem Required|
Currently there are 10 Cryo characters in Genshin Impact, meaning there are 10 characters that will use Shivada Jade.
Genshin Impact Bosses that drop Shivada Jade
The most reliable way to farm Shivada Jade is to defeat bosses that can drop it. After defeating a boss, pay 40 Original Resins to collect its rewards, including any elemental stones it might drop this time around. Luckily, there are quite a few bosses that can reward Shivada Jade when defeated.
Generally, the higher the level of the boss, the better the drops. This table describes the boss level at which each type of gem can be obtained:
|Global level||boss level||Gems|
*It should be noted that the Primo Geovishap will only drop elemental stones that match the element it was infused with during combat. It will only reward Shivada Jade if it was imbued with Cryo when the player fought it.
However, this boss is still able to drop Prithiva Topaz.
Genshin Impact Weekly Bosses That Drop Shivada Jade
Weekly trounce estates (and Andrius) are also able to reward elemental gems after defeating the boss and paying the resin cost. The following weekly bosses can reward Shivada Jade:
At higher levels, these bosses can drop higher quality gems. They generally follow this pattern, although Andrius is slightly different and is listed above:
|Shards||I, II, III, IV|
|fragments||I, II, III, IV|
|Parts||II, III, IV|
|Precious stones||III, IV|
* Like the Primo Geovishap, the elemental stones Azhdaha can drop are based on the element he infuses during that battle. Shivada Jade is only in the reward pool if he infused Cryo during the fight. Azhdaha Elemental Infusion is based on a fixed weekly rotation. He is able to drop Prithiva Topaz regardless of the week’s infused items.
Luckily, the elements that Azhdaha infuses each week can be seen on her domain gate before entering the fight.
Other ways to get Shivada Jade in Genshin Impact
Besides fighting bosses and overcoming challenges, there are a handful of other ways to get elemental gems, including Shivada Jade.
One of the easiest ways to earn elemental gems is to complete daily commissions for the Adventurer’s Guild.
Each day, players are awarded four daily commissions. After completing all four, they can head to any branch of the Adventurers Guild and talk to Katheryne, who will give them some bonus rewards. Among these may be shards of elemental gems.
Unfortunately, it’s random which one is given out, but since Daily Commissions are a great way to earn Primogems, Gems are a bonus.
Arts and crafts
By using a crafting bench, players can Arts and crafts higher level gems from lower level gems.
Here’s how it works:
|3x Ribbon||+||300||=||1x Shard|
|3x shard||+||900||=||1x Piece|
|3x Piece||+||2,700||=||1x gemstone|
This means that it will take 27 shards to craft one gemstone. It’s expensive, but it’s reliable, and players will often find themselves crafting the highest tiers of gems rather than finding them.
Still on a crafting bench, a player can use a few Azoth Dust to convert other elemental gems into the one they want. Azoth Dust can be purchased from Paimon’s Stardust Bargains at the rate of 10 Azoth Dust for 5 Stardust.
Higher tier gems require more Azoth Dust to convert, as shown here:
|gem level||Azoth Dust Required|
Shivada Jade can therefore be converted from Varunada Lazurite, Vayuda Turquoise, Vajrada Amethyst, Prithiva Topaz or Agnidus Agate.
Many things can be created in the Parametric transformer, and gemstones are just a few of them. By using the right materials, players can increase the chance of getting a “set” of two Slivers or a “set” of a single fragment of a random Elemental Gem. They can get multiple “sets” of the same thing, which means they can get multiple gems.
The type of fuel used only increases the chances of obtaining certain items, rather than guaranteeing them. The following items, when entered into the Parametric Transformer, are more likely to result in Elemental Gem Sets:
|piece of iron||Horn Lapis||firm arrowhead||Hunter’s Sacrificial Knife|
|piece of tinplate||Noctilucous Jade||Sharp arrowhead||Agent’s Sacrificial Knife|
|piece of crystal||Starsilver||Weathered Arrowhead||Inspector’s Sacrificial Knife|
|piece of magic crystal||crystal marrow||Sango Pearl||Pearl Loach|
|piece of amethyst||crystal core||Electro Crystal|
Gift Shops – Slivers Only!
There are two souvenir shops in Teyvat that sell elemental gems.
There are, however, some limitations to obtaining elemental gems this way. First they only sell Slivers. Second, they only accept elemental seals as payment, not Mora. Finally, they sell a Limited quantity and no longer offer Slivers after redeeming their stock.
The first is in Mondstadt, called With the wind comes glory, held by Marjorie. She only accepts Anemo Sigils as payment. She will sell six Shivada Jade Slivers for 10 Anemo Sigils each.
The second vendor who sells Shivada Jade Slivers is Xingxi, who runs Mingxing Jewelry in the port of Liyue. This shop only accepts Geo Sigils as payment, charging 10 of them by Sliver. However, Xingxi stores 12 Shivada jade shards!
Finally, elemental gems can often be found as rewards during time-limited special events.
Most events either have direct rewards given for completing certain challenges, or an event store filled with rewards that an event-exclusive currency can be used to purchase. Often these events will have ascension items or talent materials like elemental gems or talent books.
