Most of the time in anime fans can see extremely strong characters, with very few weaknesses. However, there are also some often seen characters in anime who are just completely unnecessary due to their weakness.
Weak anime characters are the biggest puzzle fans see on screen, as they rarely contribute in any way to battles and conflicts.
ten Witch Craft Works: Honoka Takamiya is a weak main character in every way
In a world full of witches, Honoka is a second year student at Tongetsu Academy, a witch workshop. Honoka has bad grades, no strength or speed, and has no real talents. The only reason he’s able to stay safe in a wizarding world is because of Ayaka.
Ayaka is a fire witch who secretly protects the weak Honoka because of her mission. Later in the series, it is revealed that Honoka possesses great power within him which has been sealed.
9 Diary of the Future: Yukiteru Amano relies on others because of his weaknesses
As the holder of a Future Diary, Yukiteru must participate in a battle royale with other holders of Future Diary. However, Yukiteru doesn’t have much going for him, he is not the smartest, the strongest, and he becomes very emotionally attached.
The only thing that keeps Yukitru alive in this battle royale is Yuno Gasai. Yuno is another Dairy Holder who is completely obsessed with Yukieru and will do anything to keep him safe.
8 One Piece: Buggy is the weakest devil fruit user with wasted potential
Buggy, aka Buggy The Star Clown, is the captain of the Buggy Pirates and was one of the first big villains of A piece. Buggy was also one of the first Devil Fruit users along with Luffy. Buggy’s ability allows him to split his body into pieces.
Unlike Luffy, Buggy’s potential strength never quite reached what it could have been, leaving him very dull and weak compared to other Devil Fruit users.
seven My Hero Academia: Minoru Mineta has one of AU’s weakest quirks
Mineta is a kinky student at UA High School, who trains to become a pro-hero. Mineta’s Quirk is called Pop-Off, this power allows her to tear ball-shaped objects from her head. These bullet objects can grow back quickly and are very sticky in use.
Overall, Mineta is one of the weaker characters in UA as her Quirk is not very helpful and Mineta’s loose personality causes him to panic in intense situations.
6 Fairy Tail: Ichiya’s magical ability doesn’t work for close quarters combat
Ichiya Vandalay Kotobuki is the “ace” of the Blue Pegasus Guild and the leader of the Trimes. Ichiya’s magical ability allows him to use scents to cause a number of effects on himself and an opponent. However, despite being “the ace”, Ichiya is one of the weaker characters in Fairy tale and even his own guild.
The magic of Ichiya’s scent is more offensive, meaning he doesn’t have the skills or the strength to go up against one another in melee. Additionally, fans consider Ichiya to be a gag character rather than a strong character anyway.
5 Mob Psycho 100: Dimple is a weak spirit attached to Mob
Before being exorcised by Mob, Dimple was a very powerful upper class evil spirit, but he was defeated by Mob. After being defeated, Dimple weakened considerably and lost most of his powers.
Now, stuck in much weaker form, Dimple just follows Mob as a companion. Even Reigen Arataka, Mob’s mentor, said Dimple was too weak for him to see and compared him to a ladybug stuck on Mob’s shoulder.
4 Seven Deadly Sins: Hawk Is All Bark & No Bite
Despite being a talking pig who acts as a companion for Meliodas, Hawk has a number of useful abilities. Hawk has an amazing nose that can sniff out enemies and can absorb abilities from anything he eats that has magical properties. That’s pretty much all it’s useful for.
When it comes to close quarters combat, Hawk is the weakest character in Seven capital sins. While he acts like the toughest, there’s no doubt that anyone who comes up against him will win.
3 Bleach: Kon is basically a talking stuffed animal with no real strength
Kon is an Underpod who is essentially a modified soul, and he takes the form of a stuffed lion most of the time. In his stuffed lion form, Kon is at his weakest and it doesn’t help that this is his most used form throughout the series, which he is forced to use by Ichigo because he loves torture Kon.
Although he is very weak, Kon still has a very arrogant personality, often calling himself the King of New York.
2 Pokémon: Magikarp is the subject of every weak joke on the internet
As the main subject of Pokemon Faint fan jokes, Magikarp is a fish-like aquatic Pokémon that is often overlooked due to its uselessness in battle. Even in the heat of the moment, Magikarp will just crumble like your base wish out of the water.
The Magikarp is fundamentally worthless in both power and speed, so it’s no wonder Pokemon fans like to make it the butt of all their weak jokes. Fans who put up with the Magikarp’s flaws are rewarded with its evolved form, Gyarados.
1 Dragon Ball Z: Mr. Satan is a weak Terran compared to the Saiyans
Another character who is the butt of weak jokes from their fandom is Mr. Satan from Dragon ball z. Mr. Satan is the world champion of martial arts and the protector of the Earth; What he is best known to fans, however, is his weakness.
Compared to other earthlings, Mr. Satan is of course stronger than normal, but when it comes to Saiyans, he doesn’t stand a chance. It doesn’t help that Mr. Satan also has a very loose personality.
