Some fans are unsure if the writers would address abortion again soon after Vic Hughes (Barrett Doss) terminated a pregnancy. However, others feel that there is no way Post 19 Season 6 will not cover the SCOTUS decision. In season 4, episode 15, Post 19 introduces the death of Breonna Taylor into the plot.

“Yes 100%,” a fan replied to the Reddit question. “I’m sure there will be a story on the show about it.”

Many other fans agreed that abortion rights would be brought up in a storyline of Post 19 Season 6. Several viewers think they know how the writers will incorporate the reversal of Roe Vs. Enter the show next season.

Reddit users think Carina will be central to the abortion story in ‘Station 19’

Several Post 19 Reddit fans think Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) will have a similar storyline to Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) in Grey’s Anatomy Season 18.

“I thought they might do something like they did on Grey’s where Owen was helping people out of state with assisted end of life since it’s legal in Washington,” a fan wrote on the Reddit thread. “But I don’t know if they would make the same story with this issue, like Carina helping women in other states.”

According CBS News, Idaho is a state with a “trigger law,” so abortion is now illegal. However, it remains legal in Washington, the backdrop of Post 19. So, several fans think the story might revolve around Carina providing women with out-of-state abortion healthcare.

“God I hope this is someone from Idaho because in WA abortion is still legal,” wrote one Redditor. “With Travis running for mayor, they’re absolutely going to talk about it as a problem.”

Another fan added that the scenario could happen at the walk-in clinic where Carina works in Post 19.

Season 6 of ‘Station 19’ will include commentary on abortion rights

ABC Post 19 addressed COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter in Season 4. Fans have no doubt that the Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe VS. Wade will make his way into Post 19 Season 6 of sorts. This may just be a comment, but fans agree the writers wouldn’t leave this political moment out of the show.

“I wouldn’t pass up on Vic to come up with something like, ‘God, I had my abortion just in time,'” another Redditor added. “Immediately followed by Travis who raised concerns about the rights of same-sex couples. It definitely sounds like something they would say!

However it happens, greedy Post 19 fans think the SCOTUS ruling on abortion will be part of season 6 one way or another. Post 19 returns to ABC on October 6, 2022.
