Salmon Leftovers Welcome Billy Strings, Lindsay Lou and More to Nashville’s Station Inn [Photos/Videos]


Leftover salmon opened a two-night intimate show series at Nashville’s station hostel on Tuesday with a performance beleaguered by special guests including Billy strings, Lindsay Lou, Kyle Tuttleand Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass). The performance helped celebrate Salmon’s multi-instrumentalist Drew Emmitt‘the birthday of.

Tickets for Tuesday’s show were made available the same day, at the door only. Fewer than 200 lucky fans made it into the seated room were treated to an eventful musical evening, as the leader Vince Hermann invited a cavalcade of visitors from his adopted hometown of Music City.

The pillars of jam grass had shown their hands earlier in the day with a clip of Billy jamming with them to Compass Records. For their part, Lou and Tuttle joined in a cover of jimmy martin‘s “What Watcha Got” as Linsday took over lead vocals. The duo also contributed to Lucinda Williams‘ “Lines Around Your Face”, with Lou imbuing the hulking singer-songwriter’s raw power as Tuttle added mighty banjo thumps. Tuesday’s show also featured a dueling dobro segment as Anders Beck took on new Leftover member Salmon. starling jay on “Breakin’ Thru”.
