Forget Florida Man, if you’re looking for inspiration to stand up to the police, even if you’re already on the wrong side of the law, look no further than Uttar Pradesh.

Not only is UP the most populous state in the country, but it is also home to some of the most bizarre incidents that happen every day in India. Here, drivers can be ticketed for not wearing a helmet—in CAR!

Most of us wouldn’t survive it, but an electric utility worker was different. He had the nerve to exact revenge on the cops after he was fined – legally – for not having documents handy.

Bhagwan Swarup, a lineman from Bareilly, cut power to Hardaspur police station on Saturday, according to an IANS report. His reason? One of the officers named Modi Singh had already stopped his bike at a checkpoint and asked him to produce the registration papers, and due to his failure to meet the requirement, fined him Rs .500.

Swarup told the cop that he didn’t have the papers with him at the time, but he could drop by his house and show the papers to Singh. However, the traffic policeman had nothing to do with it and issued the challan to him.

The lineman was so frustrated that he decided to team up with his co-workers from the electric department to get revenge on the cop and cut off the power to the police station.
