Genshin Impact is a game that gives players a lot of choices. They can assign up to four characters to a team to take with them on their adventure through Liyue. Players unlock characters through special timed events or through Wishes, the game’s loot box system. Each character has a distinct backstory as well as a designated item that is used in attacks. These elements are complementary and several elements can combine for devastating results for enemies.
When players choose their team of four to embark on their journey, there are quite a few choices when it comes to the Electro element. Players can upgrade characters through Ascension levels with Mora, in-game currency, and items picked up while playing. These levels unlock Talents that can have effects on the battlefield. Players will want to look at attacks and buffs, see what elements can combine to create a team that suits their playstyle.
8 Kujou Sara starts at 16-42 and maxes out at 182-195
Kujou Sara is a bow-wielding Tengu from the Tenryou Commission. While its standard attack allows up to five consecutive shots, its charge attack builds up lightning bolts on the arrowhead that deal large amounts of electro damage. Her elemental attack, Tengu Stormcall, teleports her back and summons the Crowfeather’s protection.
In this Crowfeather state, if Koujo fires a charged arrow, a Crowfeather will remain after impact. This feather triggers a Tengu Jurai: Ambush AoE attack that deals electro damage. His second attack, Subjugation: Koukou Sendou calls down a huge lightning bolt on Kujou Sara’s position. Upon impact, it also splits into four smaller bolts that deal more electro damage.
seven Beidou starts at 19-49 and maxes at 210-225
Beidou is the Claymore-wielding captain of The Crux crew. She has standard charging and dipping attacks and her normal attack allows up to five strikes. His elemental attack Tidecaller has two modes based on input. With a press, she accumulates light in her sword and releases it in a big swing.
Holding the button allows Beidou to use the sword as a shield, absorbing attacks until the duration expires when she uses stored power from attacks in a large swing. Stormbreaker, his second attack, generates an electro shield that repels attacks. Some that hit it can even chain themselves to other nearby enemies when it’s reflected. It also increases his resistance to interrupt and decreases his damage taken.
6 Lisa starts at 19-50 and maxes out at 215-232
A powerful mage and librarian of the Knights of Favonius, Lisa is a catalyst user, meaning she generates elemental attacks without a physical weapon. She can unleash up to four strikes with her normal attack, send out a single large explosion with a charged attack, and deal AoE Electro damage with her dipping attack.
Her elemental attack, Lightning Rose, summons a lightning rose that fires lightning bolts and launches enemies for a short duration. With the Static Field talent, enemies hit by lightning have their defense reduced by 15% for 10 seconds. His other attack, Violet Arc, has a press function, releasing a homing orb of lightning, and a hold function, which calls down lightning from the sky to deal massive amounts of damage to enemies.
5 Razor starts at 20-50 and maxes out at 217-234
Razor is a Claymore user who was raised by the Wolf of the North Andrius in his wolf pack in Wolvendom. It has the standard dipping and charged attack, and its normal attack allows up to four consecutive strikes. The Claw and Thunder elemental attack has two functions. Pressing summons an Elector Wolf Claw that deals electro damage and generates up to three seals that increase recharge rate.
The sustain gathers electro energy to trigger a thunderstorm over a small area. His second attack, Lightning Fang, summons an Electro wolf that fights alongside Razor for its entire duration, dealing Electro damage.
4 Fischl starts at 20-53 and peaks at 227-244
Fischl is an investigator from the Mondstadt Adventurers’ Guild who wields a bow. While his normal attack allows up to five shots, his charged attack is a single precision shot. His elemental attack, Nightrider, summons Oz, a crow made of darkness and lightning that deals electro damage at a small AoE.
His second attack, Midnight Phantasmagoria, also summons Oz, but now Fischl takes his shield form, increasing his movement speed and blasting enemies with electro bolts. With the Stellar Predator Talent, Fischel can hit Oz with a charged arrow shot that blasts him in the area with a large Electro attack.
3 Keqing starts at 25-65 and peaks at 300-323
Keqing is the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing and uses a sword as a weapon. She can perform up to five quick strikes as well as the standard charge and dive attacks. Its first elemental attack, Stellar Restoration, launches a lightning stylus at enemies, and holding the input allows the player to aim the shot. If she quickly uses this attack again, she can teleport to the impact sight and perform a slash attack.
Keqing’s second attack, Starward Sword, has three parts. The first triggers an explosion of lightning. She then melds with her blade and strikes with a handful of thunderbolts that deal electrical damage. Finally, there’s another massive burst of electro damage.
2 Raiden Shogun starts at 26-68 and maxes out at 314-337
Raiden Shogun is the vessel of Beelzebub, the current Electro Archon of Inazuma. His weapon of choice is a polearm with standard normal, charged, and dipping attacks. With her elemental attack Transcendence: Baleful Omen, she unleashes a Shard of Euthymia that deals damage to nearby enemies and grants nearby party members a buff called Eye of Stormy Judgement. This buff will also attack anything the player attacks with AoE Electro damage.
His second attack, Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu, first sends out a burst of electro damage, then buffs Raiden Shogun with Musou Issen. This buff imbues all of her normal attacks with electro damage, increases her interrupt resistance, makes her immune to electro-charged reaction damage, and lasts until she leaves the field.
1 Yae Miko starts at 26-69 and maxes out at 316-340
Yae Miko is the owner of the Yae Publishing House and also watches over the Great Narukami Shrine. She uses a catalyst and all of her normal, charged, and dipping attacks also deal electro damage. Her elemental attack Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura summons up to three spirit foxes, or Sakura, made up of Electro energy that periodically blast enemies with Electro lightning. If there are several Sakura, the damage inflicted by each one is increased.
With her second attack, Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin, Yae Miko unleashes a massive elemental blast that calls down multiple lightning strikes from the sky to deal large amounts of electrical damage to the targeted enemy. If there are any Sesshou Sakura on the field, this attack turns them into lightning bolts that attack nearby enemies.
